All buttons will be locked on your robot once "Child & Pet Lock" is enabled to avoid accidental Start/Resumes by children or pets. However, when "Child & Pet Lock" is enabled, all App features will function normally.

Users can only enable and disable “Child & Pet Lock” through the New Roomba® HOME App. There is no manual option to disable child & pet lock.
To access “Child & Pet Lock” settings, navigate to the robots tab and click the three dots in the top right corner of the screen. There you will see the option for Child and Pet lock.
If a robot that has child /pet lock on and it dies off the dock, placing the robot back on the dock will factory reset it. When the unit regains connection, it would prompt you to go through the set up process again.

Users can enable and disable “Child & Pet Lock” only through the iRobot® HOME App.
To access “Child & Pet Lock” settings:
Go to “Product Settings”
Go to “Child/Pet Lock”
Enable Slide the button to your right
Disable Slide the button to your left
How to manually disable "Child & Pet Lock"
*NOTE: Always turn off your robot before you manually disable "Child & Pet Lock". If you have a j7 robot, also remove your robot's Bin before this process.
You can disable "Child & Pet Lock" by using the following button press combinations:
Remove the Bin (for Roomba j7 and Combo j7+ only).
Tilt the robot, so that one Wheel is pressed into the ground (the wheel springs are fully compressed) and the other is floating in the air (the wheel springs are extended, not compressed).
While holding the robot in this tilted position, press the CLEAN button 3 times consecutively (once per second for 3 seconds).
Roomba® i Series, s Series and, Braava m Series: CLEAN button
Roomba® j Series: single button
You will hear a sound, and the light ring will illuminate white for three (3) seconds to confirm.
You will be able to hear a chime sound once you have disabled "Child & Pet Lock" with the appropriate button combination.
Even if "Child & Pet Lock" is activated, you can still do the below with hardware button inputs:
