Roomba 900 series has various settings which allow you to customize how Roomba cleans your home. These settings are available only through the iRobot HOME App.
Note:Cleaning preferences can vary based on your Roomba series and model.
Notes for Cleaning Preferences
Power Boost
Roomba automatically increases its vacuum power on carpet, to provide a deeper clean. On hard surfaces, Roomba reduces its vacuum power to decrease battery consumption while still delivering excellent cleaning performance. Power Boost is set to automatic mode by default.
Cleaning Pass
In most cases, Roomba will remove dirt and debris with just one pass over each area of your home. Two cleaning passes may be particularly helpful in homes with pets or for periodic deep cleaning.
When automatic mode is active, Roomba intelligently chooses to use two or more passes for a single small room or one pass if cleaning a larger space. This setting can be helpful for varying sized spaces. When placed in a smaller room, Roomba can choose to do more cleaning passes without concern for battery depletion.
Automatic cleaning preference is available with the following software versions:
Edge Clean
After Roomba finishes cleaning the open areas of your floor, it uses “Edge Clean” to ensure that it has cleaned along walls and around furniture legs. If you prefer a quicker clean, you can disable Edge Clean. Edge Clean is set to “On” by default.
Note:If Edge Clean mode is disabled, Roomba may not cover your entire floor.
Behavior When Bin is Full
Roomba senses when its dust bin is full. There are two options for what Roomba should do when the bin is full.
Pause Cleaning When Full: As soon as Roomba’s bin becomes full, Roomba will return to where it started and pause its cleaning job. Once the bin is emptied, press clean to resume.
Keep Cleaning When Full: Roomba will always finish its cleaning job, even if the bin becomes full in the
